New Concrete

Pour It Right, Then Finish It Right

A floor is only as good as the slab underneath. Whether you need a cracked garage slab replaced, a new patio or lanai extension, a walkway, or an interior floor, we handle the concrete itself: site prep, forms, reinforcement as the job requires, pouring, finishing and curing.

Because we also coat and polish floors, we finish new concrete with the next step in mind. A slab that will get an epoxy coating, a polished finish or stay bare gets the finish that suits it. New concrete typically needs about 28 days to cure before a coating goes on.

Curing and timing

Concrete gains strength as it cures. We plan the pour around weather and protect the slab while it cures. If you want a coating, it typically goes on after about 28 days and a moisture check. See concrete moisture in Florida.

Vapor retarders

For interior and garage slabs, a vapor retarder under the concrete helps limit moisture coming up through the floor, which protects future coatings and flooring.

Permits

Some concrete work requires a permit from your city or county. We'll tell you what applies to your project during the estimate.

Cost

Concrete pricing depends on size, thickness, site access, demolition of old concrete and finish. We quote after a site visit.
