Commercial Floors

Floors That Work as Hard as Your Business

Bare concrete in a working business soaks up spills, sheds dust and looks worn within a year. A commercial epoxy floor gives you a sealed, seamless surface that cleans with a squeegee, brightens the space and holds up to daily traffic.

The right system depends on what hits the floor. We start with diamond grinding and crack repair, check the slab for moisture, then match the chemistry to the job: standard 100%-solids epoxy for most spaces, epoxy novolac where aggressive chemicals are used, UV-stable topcoats near doors and windows, and slip-resistant texture where floors get wet.

Keep downtime short

We phase work area by area, schedule around slow days or after hours, and use fast-curing polyaspartic topcoats where they fit so you're back in service sooner. Traditional epoxy typically needs about 72 hours before vehicle traffic and about 7 days for full chemical cure, depending on product and conditions.

Safety and slip resistance

OSHA 1910.22 requires walking-working surfaces to be kept clean and, as far as possible, dry. We add aggregate to the topcoat for traction, heavier where floors get wet and lighter where crews clean often.

Budgeting

Commercial floors are priced from a site visit. As a reference, 2026 Sarasota-market pricing for commercial floors over 1,000 sq ft runs about $6.50–$9 per square foot, with moisture mitigation and cove base as add-ons. Commercial floors are typically resealed periodically, so plan for upkeep. For chemical ratings, see chemical-resistant floor coatings.

Commercial Epoxy Flooring FAQs

What is the best commercial floor coating? +

It depends on what hits the floor. Standard 100%-solids epoxy suits most spaces, epoxy novolac handles aggressive chemicals, and urethane cement is better for hot-water and steam-cleaned kitchen zones.

Can you work around our business hours? +

Yes. Many commercial jobs are phased area by area or scheduled over weekends and slow days to limit downtime.

How much does commercial epoxy flooring cost? +

In the Sarasota market, 2026 pricing for commercial floors over 1,000 square feet typically runs about $6.50 to $9 per square foot. Your price depends on slab condition, system and schedule.

Are commercial epoxy floors slippery? +

A smooth glossy floor can be when wet. We add slip-resistant aggregate to the topcoat, with more texture in wet or greasy areas.

How long does a commercial epoxy floor last? +

With proper prep, the base system lasts for years; commercial floors are typically resealed periodically in high-traffic areas to keep them protected.
